I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning massive paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly happening.
