The House investigative committee has made public a set of approximately 70 photographs secured from the holdings of late found guilty sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This marks the third such release from a cache of over 95,000 photos the committee has secured from Epstein's holdings. It contains pictures of passages from the novel Lolita scrawled across a woman's body, and redacted photos of women's foreign passports.

This disclosure occurs just hours before the 19th of December cut-off for the Justice Department to disclose each records associated with its probe into Epstein.

"These latest photos raise additional queries about exactly what the DOJ has in its holdings," remarked the ranking member of the committee, Robert Garcia.

Contents in the Photos Released

A number of the photos made public on Thursday feature Epstein in discussion with scholar and advocate Noam Chomsky inside a private plane; Bill Gates seen alongside a female whose identity is censored; Steve Bannon seated at a workstation facing Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner gathering.

These are the latest wealthy, influential men to be pictured in Epstein property photographs disclosed by the oversight panel - earlier published pictures also include US President Donald Trump and ex-president Bill Clinton, as well as film director Woody Allen, former US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, counsel Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Being pictured in the photos is is not considered proof of any wrongdoing, and a number of the featured men have said they were in no way participating in Epstein's unlawful actions.

In a statement released with the photograph disclosure, Democratic members on the US House Oversight Committee stated the Epstein estate's representatives did not provide background information or timings for the photographs.

"Photographs were picked to offer the American people with openness into a typical cross-section of the photos acquired from the holdings, and to offer insights into Epstein's associates and his exceptionally troubling actions," the statement reads.

The publication also contains several photos of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita written in dark ink across different parts of a woman's body, such as her upper body, feet, hipbone, and back. Lolita narrates the story of a minor who was exploited by a middle-aged literature professor.

One passage from the novel written across a female's torso says, "Lolita's name: the point of the tongue traveling of three steps down the roof of the mouth to land, at three, on the teeth".

Additionally, there are a collection of images of female identification and ID papers from nations worldwide, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A large portion of the details on the papers, such as names and dates of birth, is obscured but the committee stated in a press release that the passports pertain to "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his conspirators were engaging".

Another photograph features Epstein sitting at a table in close proximity flanked by three female figures whose identities have been censored - one has her hand on Epstein's torso under his shirt, and a second is leaning to examine a close-by laptop. Epstein appears to be helping the third attach a piece of jewelry.

Another photograph made public is a image of SMS messages from an unknown person who claims they have been provided "a number of girls" and are demanding "$$1,000 per girl".

Photo Release Arrives Ahead of DOJ Deadline

The panel has a vast number of photographs in its custody from the Epstein holdings, which are "simultaneously explicit and everyday," its press release on this week clarified.

The House Oversight Committee first legally compelled the estate of Epstein, who died in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on allegations of human trafficking, in August.

The images and files the Epstein estate gave to the committee are separate from what is commonly termed "Epstein-related records". Those are documents in the justice department's control related to its independent probe into Epstein.

Pursuant to the recently passed law, which the President enacted last month, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to release its files. The scope of what is included in the DOJ's records is unknown, and it's likely that a significant portion of the content will be extensively censored, comparable to House Oversight Committee documents
